After a few weeks of an accident of US Diplomat Col Joseph, on Sunday night another US diplomat had an accident with a motorcyclist. US embassy’s Second Secretary Chad Rex Auburn hit a motorcyclist Nazakat Islam and his pillion passenger Muhammad Waseem. Rex Auburn, initially refused to come out of the car but after the arrival of police, he stepped out and introduced himself.
The diplomat was later taken into police custody and moved to the Secretariat police station. Police also took vehicle and the cards of diplomats into their custody.
The rider and his companion had suffered minor injuries in the accident and were taken to a nearest hospital.
On Monday, Islamabad Police lodged a first information report (FIR) against the rider Islam with Asst Sub Inspector Muhammad Yousaf as the complainant of the FIR. According to FIR, the accident was caused due to the reckless driving of Islam.
The rider has been charged with Section 279 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
Another FIR was lodged against Taimoor Pirzada, the chief security officer (CSO) of the US embassy in Islamabad. Pirzada is charged for misbehaving with police following the accident between US Diplomat and motorcyclist.
According to FIR, Pirzada tried to stop police from shifting the car to police station, he also misbehaved and attacked the Station House Officer (SHO) Abdul Sattar, the complainant.
He was arrested under Sections 353 and 186 of the Pakistan Penal Code. Pirzada was presented to the court of Magistrate. Magistrate ordered him to sign a surety bond of Rs 50,000.
