Prime Minister Imran Niazi has nominated Dr Arif Alvi as a candidate for Presidential elections. The nomination news revealed by Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf spokesman Fawad Chaudhary. Incumbent President Mamnoon Hussain’s tenure ends on September 8.

Arif Alvi emerged victor from NA-247, Karachi constituency in 2018 Elections. He was also elected as member of the National Assembly in the 2013 Elections.
Alvi is a dentist by profession, he is among the founding members of PTI.
