KARACHI: Police arrested a fake lady doctor from Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) during a raid on Monday.
Ayesha Karim, the fake lady doctor in Karachi’s largest hospital who has been working in Gynecological ward of Jinnah Hospital for the past one year.
Station House Officer (SHO) of Women Police Station Syeda Ghazala said that she had been informed about a woman working as a lady doctor at gynecology ward of Jinnah Hospital.
The SHO said she led a police team to the hospital to interrogate the suspect.
Ghazala said that the Ayesha Karim was failed to provide satisfactory answers to the police.
Police arrested Ayesha Karim and transferred to the local police station. Ayesha is the resident of Korangi. Her qualification is matric.
JPMC security staff did not accept reponsibilty of this incident. Whereas during the police investigation, Ayesha told the police that she had been freely working atJPMC for since last one year and most of the hospital staff recognize her as a doctor
Police is also investigation of the suspect’s affiliation with the groups which are involved in abduction of new-borns from hospitals. Police said, Ayesha Karim targeted Women who use to visit gynecological ward for illegal surgeries.
Police filed a case against Ayesha under the section 419 and 170 of Pakistan penal code.
The suspect was product in front of Judicial Magistrate and was sent to jail on judicial remand till 26th March.
