Karachi: Veteran TV artist Qazi Wajid passed away in Karachi on 11th February, 2018. Qazi Wajid, 87 years old actor was admitted to hospital after having severe heart problems.
Fellow TV actor, Javed Sheikh broke this with a pakistani news channel, where he said I have just heard the news of Qazi bhai’s death. I cannot believe. This is a huge loss for whole industry as well as humanity. He further said, Qazi bhai was devoted to his work.
Qazi Wajid, was one of the legend of Pakistani TV industry. He started his career from radio, he remained in radio industry for 25 years and then moved towards TV in 1966.
Qazi Wajid, was honored with Pride of Performance award in 1988 on his services to industry. Qazi Wajid, played in many TV serials, in which the most famous were Tanhaiyan, Khuda ki Basti and Kinary.
The veteran actor was born in 1930 in Lahore. He completed his early education from Lahore and then moved towards United States of America for sometime. Qazi Wajid dedicated his 48 years to media industry. His services to the nation are remarkable.
