In Elections 2013, Pakistan Peoples Party, nominated six candidates of minorities in Sindh Assembly. There were 5 Hindu candidates and the and last one was Christian. This was the moment of disappointment for Christian community.
Now PPP nominated Anwar Lal Dean for Senate Elections 2018, a Christian, who was candidate of Provincial Assembly of Sindh.
Anwar Lal Dean, has remained president of PPP’s minority wing Karachi for more than 15 years. Anwar Lal Dean, thanked the leadership of his party for granting him a golden opportunity.
Anwar Lal Dean said, “PPP is the only party who bring their ideological workers in front”. Anwar Lal Dean is the son of Derek Miqsuita, who became Member of National Assembly on a reserved seat for minorities during the Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto’s regime.
Anwar Lal Dean, the resident of Karachi Saddar, said that PPP is the only political party in Pakistan which is working to protect the rights of minorities.
